Leila was born in 1877.  Leila's father was Joseph Marion Martin CSA ((CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA)) and her mother was Matilda C Warren (Martin).  Her paternal grandparents were John Martin and Matilda Goode (Martin). She had two brothers and four sisters, named John, Marion , Martha, Missouri, Mary and Della.  She is the fifth oldest of the seven children. She has a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Noah, Lola and (M.).
