Claudius was born in 0214 in Illyria. Claudius' father was Emperor Tiberius Claudius Caesar (Emperor of Rome ) and his mother was Messalina Valeria . His paternal grandparents were Nero Claudius Drusus and Antonia Augusta (The Younger ); his maternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>. He was an only child. He died due to died of plague at the age of 56 in 0270.¹
