William was born in 1735.  William's father was Charles Christian Jr.  and his mother was Judith Woodson (Christian).  His paternal grandparents were Charles Christian Snr. and Elizabeth Hunt (Christian). He had two sisters named Lucy and Judith.  He is the second oldest of the three children. He had seven half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John, 2nd LT Elijah, Charles, The Ghost, The Shadow, William, Walter, George, Elizabeth, Mary, Judith and Mourning.
