Ann was born in 1824 in Rothwell, Yorkshire.  Ann's father was William Kidd and her mother was Sarah Lee.  Her paternal grandparents were John Kidd and Anne. She had three brothers named Thomas, John and William Lee.  She was the youngest of the four children.  She died at the age of 26 in 1850.
