    James John Matsukes of Elk Grove Village since 1958 A funeral Mass for James John Matsukes, 75, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, at St. Julian Eyemard Church. Born in Chicago, he died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, at home. Jim was an avid sports fan who once played within the old Pittsburgh Pirates farm system. He was also an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1993 from sales management. After his retirement, he worked on eliminating the slice from his golf game. He is survived by his wife, Rita; and by his daughter, Barbara. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mercella (nee Jackson); and by his sister, the late Estelle. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or to Vitas Hospice.
