Felix (Deda) Michael JACKSON

Felix, known as Felix, was born on October 6th, 1911 in Export,Westmoreland,Pennsylvania,USA, and his baptism took place on December 5th, 1911 in Export,Westmoreland,Pennsylvania,USA,St. Mary's. Felix's father was Anthony (Andy) Peter JACKSON and his mother was Marcella Barbara KAMINSKA. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Stephen, Anthony, Marcella, Theresa and Pauline. He was the youngest of the six children. He died due to Respiratory FailureJun 15th, 2005 in AUH Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville, PA. The funeral took place on June 18th, 2005 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Export, PA and was arranged by WOLFE-VON GEIS FUNERAL HOME INC.,. - Felix Jackson, 93, of Export, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005. He was born Oct. 6, 1911, in Export, a son of the late Anthony and Marcella (Komos) Jackson. Felix was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Export, was a charter member and former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Manordale Council, former secretary of the Export Borough Municipal Authority, former secretary of the L.O.O.M. #234 and a member of the PNA Club, both in Export. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary "Mamie" (Lapcevich) Jackson, in 1998. Surviving are his loving children, Michael Jackson, of Export, and Christina Fernie and her husband, Bruce, of Downingtown; and three grandchildren, Stephen Fernie and his wife, Miriam (Perkins), Laura (Fernie) Johnson and her husband, Charles, and Diana Fernie. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the WOLFE-VON GEIS FUNERAL HOME INC., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export, 724-327-1400. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Export, with Father James M. Goldberg as celebrant.
