Eleanor De Burgh

Eleanor was born in 1280 in Antrim, Belfast, Ireland.¹ Eleanor's father was Richard 'The Red Earl' De Burgh and her mother was Margaret De Burgh. Her paternal grandparents were Walter De Burgh and Avelina Fitzjohn; her maternal grandparents were John De Burgh and Cecilia Balliol. She had a brother and two sisters, named John, Elizabeth and Joan. She was the oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 45 in 1325.¹
