Robert L was born on January 8th, 1872 in Neshoba, Mississippi, USA. Robert L's father was James Watkins and his mother was Martha Brantley. His paternal grandparents were Jesse Watkins and Sarah Ann Morgan; his maternal grandfather is Jones Brantley. He had a brother and three sisters, named James Edmond, Sarah C, Ida A and Mary Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 64 on April 3rd, 1936.-
