I.A. was born on September 21st, 1877 in Neshoba, Mississippi, USA. I.A.'s father was Anderson Wilson Watkins and his mother was Georgia Ann Brantley. His paternal grandparents were John Ransom Watkins and Sarah Ann Wilson. He had three brothers and two sisters, named James R, Simon Ed, Earnest Guy, Martha Catherine and Mary Josephine. He was the third oldest of the six children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Henry A, William Lamar, Clay D, Videa Leotar and Betty. He died at the age of 8 on September 7th, 1886.-
