  Henry Eugene Watkins Mr. Henry Eugene Watkins, a resident of Somerville and local small engine repair shop owner and operator, died at 5:30 am. Friday, August 11, 2000 at the Methodist Hospital of Fayette in Somerville. He was 61 years of age and died following an extended illness. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 13th at the Peebles Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Rev. Phil Lovelace, Pastor of the Somerville First Baptist Church officiating. He was assisted by Rev. John Ed Watkins, Pastor of the Morris Chapel Baptist Church in Somerville. Interment was in the Friendship Cemetery near Moscow. Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Watkins was born November 19, 1938, in Somerville, the son of the late Leroy and Lillie Mae Isbell Watkins. He attended Moscow area schools and had resided in Fayette County throughout his life. For a number of years, Mr. Watkins had owned and operated the Watkins Small Engine Repair Shop on Hwy 64 in Somerville. He was a member of the Somerville First Baptist Church. Mr. Watkins enjoyed music throughout his life and participated in the music ministry of the Somerville Health Care Center. He enjoyed both singing and playing the guitar for health care residents and friends. Mr. Watkins is survived by his wife, Thelma Jean Luke Watkins of Somerville, four sons, Tony Watkins and David Watkins, both of Moscow, Randy Watkins of Somerville, Chris Watkins of Williston, two sisters, Lenora Watkins Ownes of Moscow, Mildred Watkins of Prestage of Polk City, Florida, one brother, Charles Watkins, Sr. of Moscow, and ten grandchildren. Casketbearers were Henry Feathers, Robert Steward, Derl Tucker, Charles Watkins, Jr., Chris Watkins, David Watkins, Randy Watkins, Ricky Watkins and Tony Watkins. The family request that memorials be made to the Evangelical Church of Moscow, P.O. Box 71, Moscow, Tennessee 38057.
