Emogene was born in 1934. Emogene's father was William Aubrey "Bill" Skelton and her mother was Gertha "Gurtie" Opal Anese Fuller. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas "Tommy" Skelton and Anna Lee Rigsby. She had a brother and three sisters, named Aubrey "Pete", Opal Louise, Iva Jewel and Mary. She died at the age of 76 on January 4th, 2010 in Germantown, Shelby, Tennessee, USA.General Notes
Emogene Allen Emogene Allen, 76, of Lamar, died Jan. 4, 2010 at Germantown Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tenn. She was the widow of Billy Allen, a Baptist and employed with Wurlitzer Co. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Jan. 6 at Clear Creek Baptist Church, where she was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Bro. Jim Polk and Bro. Jimmy Curl officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. She leaves three sons, Michael Allen, Bud Allen, Perry Allen, all of Lamar; four daughters, Joyce Bingham of Lamar, Linda Cox of Hickory Flat, Phillis Sisulak of Huntsville, Ala., Carol Allen of Lamar; a brother, Pete Skelton of Holly Springs; two sisters, Louise Skelton of Holly Springs, Mary Clark of New Albany; 17 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Iva Watkins.
