Thrace was born on April 26th, 1896 in Union, Mississippi, USA. Thrace's father was Ivy Milton Murrah and her mother was Paralee E Arnold. Her maternal grandparents were Charles H Arnold and Margaret Jane Gammel. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Aubrey Lawson, Ethel Erner, Ulys Erskine, Lora, Lottie Mae, Bertie, Dezarette "Retta" and Loyce. She was the youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 69 on November 14th, 1965 in Union, Mississippi, USA.-
