Ruby was born on March 29th, 1929. Ruby's father was Bynum Arlie "Vinne" Leatherwood and her mother is Minnie Odell Cheek. Her paternal grandfather was John Madison "Ode" Sweat Leatherwood and her paternal grandmother is Mary Tommy Taylor. She had two brothers and a sister, named Bill, Virgil and Bonnie Jean. She died at the age of 59 on January 31st, 1989.-
