Wanda's father was Bernard Elmore "Vernon" Dyer and her mother is Freddie Mae Watkins. Her paternal grandparents were Wilburn B Dyer and Pearl Miller; her maternal grandparents were Robert Lee "Robbie" Watkins and Theora Watkins. She has three brothers named Richard, Johnny and Terry.-
