Barry Gene was born on November 26th, 1954. Barry Gene's father was Demp Gene Byrd and his mother was Minnie Marie Wylie. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Issac "Bogie" Byrd and Lottie Bell Skelton. He had two sisters named Judy and Thersea. Barry Byrd
Barry Byrd 63, passed away April 2, 2018 at his home in Slayden, MS. Barry was born November 26, 1954 to Gene Byrd and Minnie Wylie Byrd in Memphis, TN. Barry was a member of Slayden Baptist Church. Barry worked as a farmer and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Servives will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Slayden Baptist Church. There will be a visitation at the church fron 12:00 noon until service time. Burial will be at Pleasent Cemetery, Rossville, TN.
Barry is survived by his wife Sharon Byrd Slayden, MS. Four daughters, Laura Byrd Olive Branch, MS, Sarah Steen (Kenneth) Hickory Flat, MS, Rachael Hollis (David) Oakland, TN and Wendy Phelps (Marcus) Pass Christian, MS. Two sisters, Judy Robets (Norris) Slayden, MS and Teresa West (Eric) Collierville, TN. Thirteen grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
