Velma Dean was born on January 18th, 1951. Velma Dean's father was Curtis Conner Allen and her mother was Sarah Elizabeth "Sally" Humphreys. Her paternal grandparents were Alvie Allen and Gracie Dean Canady; her maternal grandparents are Arthur James Humphreys and Myrtle Lee Webb. She had a brother and five sisters, named Curtis Conner, Joann, Opal Jean, Patricia Ann, Dorothy Jane "Dot" and Janet Lynn. She is the second oldest of the seven children.-
