Harriet was born on September 25th, 1795 in Timble Ings, Timble Great, Fewston, Yorkshire, England.  Harriet's father was William Pettyt and her mother was Anne (Nancy) (Pettyt).  Her paternal grandfather is William Bake and her paternal grandmother was Elizabeth Hudson.  She had a brother and two sisters, named William, Anne (Nancy) and Elizabeth.  She was the youngest of the four children.  She had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named James, William, Jerome, Jane (Ellen), Elizabeth and Hannah.  She died at the age of 69 on July 16th, 1865 in Harrogate, Yorkshire, England.
