William Petty

William was born in 1895 in Keighley, Yorkshire, England.¹ William's father was James Petty and his mother was Mary Ann Hanson. His paternal grandparents were Robert Petty and Jane Goldsborough. He had three brothers and a sister, named Charles, Robert H, Fred J and Jane. He was the third oldest of the five children.
