Gill Petty

Gill was born in 1855 in Otley, Yorkshire, England.¹ Gill's father was Jerome Pettyt and his mother was Sarah (Petty). His paternal grandparents were William Pettyt and Elizabeth Gill. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, William, Martha, Susanah and Jane. He was the youngest of the six children.
