Jane was born on September 5th, 1894 in Keighley, Yorkshire, England.  Jane's father was John Goldsborough and her mother was Mary Mitchell.  Her paternal grandparents were Reunard Goldsborough and Mary (Goldsborough).  She had a brother and a sister, named Fred and Alice.  She was the youngest of the three children.
