Louise was born on April 3rd, 1812.  Louise's father was King Louis Philippe The 1. of House Orléans and her mother was Queen Consort Maria Amalia of House Bourbon-Two Sicilies.  Her paternal grandparents were Duke Louis Philippe The 2. Joseph of House Orléans (d'Orléans) and Duchess Louise Marie Adélaïde of House Bourbon (de Bourbon-Penthièvre); her maternal grandparents were King Ferdinand The 1. of House Bourbon and Queen Consort Maria Carolina of House Habsburg-Lorraine. She had three brothers named Ferdinand Philippe, François and Antoine.  She was the second oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 38 on October 11th, 1850.
