Joseph The 1., known as The Reformer, was born on June 6th, 1714.  The Reformer's father was King John The 5. (The Magnanimous and The Portuguese Sun King) of House Braganza and his mother was Queen Consort Maria Anna of House Habsburg.  His paternal grandparents were King Peter The 2. (The Pacific) of House Braganza and Queen Consort Maria Sophia Elisabeth of House Wittelsbach; his maternal grandparents were Emperor Leopold The 1. of House Habsburg and Empress Eleonor Magdalene of House Wittelsbach. He had a brother named Pedro The 3..  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 62 on February 24th, 1777.
