Maria Cristina was born on January 17th, 1779.  Maria Cristina's father was King Ferdinand The 1. of House Bourbon and her mother was Queen Consort Maria Carolina of House Habsburg-Lorraine.  Her paternal grandparents were King Charles The 3. of House Bourbon and Queen Consort Maria Amalia of House Wettin; her maternal grandparents were Emperor Francis The 1. of House Lorraine Holy Roman Emperor/King in Germany, Archduke of Austria, Grand Duke of Tuscany and Duke of Lorraine and Empress Maria Theresa of House Habsburg. She had a brother and three sisters, named Francis The 1., Maria Theresa, Luisa and Maria Amalia.  She died at the age of 70 on March 11th, 1849.
