Carlota Joaquina was born on April 25th, 1775.  Carlota Joaquina's father was King Charles The 4. of House Bourbon and her mother was Queen Consort Maria Luisa of House Bourbon-Parma.  Her paternal grandparents were King Charles The 3. of House Bourbon and Queen Consort Maria Amalia of House Wettin; her maternal grandparents were Duke Philip of House Bourbon and Duchess Louise Élisabeth of House Bourbon. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Ferdinand The 7., Francisco de Paula, Maria Luisa and María Isabella.  She was the oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 54 on January 7th, 1830.
