John The 3., known as The Colonizer, was born on June 7th, 1502.  The Colonizer's father was King Manuel The 1. (The Fortunate) of House Aviz and his mother was Queen Consort Maria of House Trastámara.  His paternal grandparents were Duke Ferdinand of House Aviz and Duchess Beatriz of House Aviz; his maternal grandparents were King Ferdinand The 2. of House Trastámara and Queen Isabella The 1. of House Trastámara. He had two brothers and a sister, named The Cardinal-King, Edward and Isabella.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 55 on June 11th, 1557.
