William The 2.'s father was Stadtholder Frederick Henry of House Orange-Nassau and his mother was Prince Consort Amalia of House Solms-Braunfels.  His paternal grandparents were Prince William (The Silent) of House Orange-Nassau and Princess Consort Louise Coligny. He had three sisters named Louise Henriette, Abertine Agnes and Henriette Catherine.
