Clotilde, known as Clotilda, was born on September 23rd, 1759.  Clotilda's father was Dauphin Louis of House Bourbon and her mother was Dauphine Maria Josepha of House Wettin.  Her paternal grandparents were King Louis The 15. (The Beloved) of House Bourbon and Queen Consort Marie of House Leszczyński; her maternal grandparents were King Augustus The 3. of House Wettin and Queen Consort Maria Josepha of House Habsburg. She had three brothers named Louis The 16., The Desired and Charles The 10..  She was the youngest of the four children.  She died at the age of 42 on March 7th, 1802.
