Rivka's father was Shalom Yosef Ziffer and her mother was Hadas Reif.  Her paternal grandparents were Yaakov Zvi Ziffer and Henna Yenta Graup; her maternal grandparents were  Yaakov Reif and  Sara Lea.  She was the youngest of six children.  She had four brothers and a sister, named Yona , Moshe, Zvi Hersch, Arye Leib and Sara Lea.
