John was born on June 6th, 1832 in Essex, England and his baptism took place on July 20th, 1834 in Great Horkesley, Essex, England.1   John's father was George Webber and his mother was Sarah Jaggs. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Charles, Charles, William, George, Elizabeth, Sarah Ann, Ann, Emma and Susannah.  He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.
