Henry was born on October 12th, 1837 in Chilgrove, Sussex, England and his baptism took place on November 19th, 1837 in West Dean Near Chichester, Sussex, England.1 2   Henry's father was Richard Rassell and his mother was Martha Lunn.  His paternal grandparents were William Rassell and Elizabeth Sprent; his maternal grandmother was Mary Lunn. He had nine brothers and six sisters, named William, Richard, Charles, James, John, Alfred, Thomas, Frederick, Robert, Mary Anne, Charlotte, Martha, Emma, Elizabeth and Leah.  He was the seventh youngest of the sixteen children.  He died at the age of 52 on July 13th, 1890 in Kensington, Middlesex, England.
