Elizabeth was born about 1843 and her baptism took place on April 2nd, 1843 in Exford, Somerset, Parish Church.1   Elizabeth's father was William POOLE and her mother was Susanna Thorne.  Her paternal grandparents were HUGH POOLE and Mary HOOPER; her maternal grandparents are Richard Thorne and Elizabeth.  She had a sister named Mary.  She was the older of the two known children.
