John WHITTLE

John was born about 1897 in Tow Law, Co. Durham.¹ John's father was Thomas WHITTLE and his mother was Elizabeth Hetherington. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Whittle and Nancy THOMASON. He had two sisters named Margaret and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the three known children.
