Peter's father was JONATHAN THOMASON and his mother was Mary Higson. His paternal grandparents were RICHARD THOMASON and NANCY STONES; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Higson and Mary Forest. He had five brothers and two sisters, named William, Richard, Jonathan, Thomas, Wright, Maria and Nancy. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died about November 1918 in Easington, Co. Durham.²
