(2) Patrick was born on September 20th, 1875 in Glencastle, Co. Mayo, Ireland.¹

Birth Notes
- Glencastle shown as birthplace on 1911 census. This is fairly consistent with the Family Search data for a Stanton family at Bangor Erris.
  
  Also could be consistent with Patrick's description of boyhood near Lake Carrowmore, a tidal lake with an island used for cattle grazing..
  
  Griffiths Valuation mention several Stantons as landowners or tenants at Carrowmore, Kilcommon, Mayo, Ireland
  
  There are several Lake Carrowmores in Mayo but Glencastle and Bangor Erris are near the largest, which could be tidal.

(2) Patrick's father was Anthony Stanton and his mother was Bridget Reilly. He had two brothers and three sisters, named James, Anthony, Kate, Lizzie and Sister 3. He was the youngest of the six children. He died due to natural causes or old age about November 1962.²

Death Notes
- A 1901 census shows Pat Stanton aged 23 in Newcastle ,place of birth as Ireland, Newry. Newry is then crossed out.

  Family Search Record gives birth date 20 Sept 1875 for a Pat Stanton with father Anthony and mother Bridget Reilly, with a brother Anthony.
  
  The marriage cetificate has age 27 on 12 Nov 1907 making birth year 1879-1880
