ROBERT was born about March 1st, 1811 in Exford, Somerset and his baptism took place on March 27th, 1811 in Exford, Somerset, Parish Church.¹² ROBERT's father was WILLIAM NEWTON and his mother was ELIZABETH NK. His paternal grandparents were JOHN NEWTON and JOAN TAR. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Richard, Henry , William, Thomas, Mary, Ann and Eliza. He was the sixth oldest of the eight known children. He died on April 17th, 1868 in Reg Dulverton Q2 1868 v5c p219.³
