John was born about March 1st, 1846 in Winsford, Somerset, England and his baptism took place on March 8th, 1846 in Winsford Parish Church, Somerset, England.1   John's father is John Baker and his mother is Emma Bristowe. He had a brother and five sisters, named william, Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth, Eliza and Jane.  He was the sixth oldest of the seven known children.  John is no longer alive.
