Kate was born in 1869.  Kate's father was Charles Edward Redstone and her mother was Ellen.  Her paternal grandparents were James Redstone and Sarah.  She was the fourth of nine children.  She had three brothers and five sisters, named Alfred, William, George, Ellen, Edith, Florence, Eva and Sarah.
