Thomas (E) Gye

E's father was Joseph Edward Gye and his mother was Lucretia Ethel Redstone. His paternal grandparents were James Gye and Mary Anne Durnford; his maternal grandparents were Charles (E) Redstone and Lucretia Griffin. He is the fourth of five children. He had four sisters named ENA, Sally, Molly and Bess.

General Notes
- Married in 1940. Tom has been a bell ringer since 1939 and while bells were not rung during the war years he was a stand-by member of the party of ringers who rang the bells on Christmas day 1942 to celebrate the victory of the 8th army in North Africa. Tom was a member of the 4th Battalion Wiltshire Regiment.
  Tom owns a building company based in Market Lavington.

They had two sons named Jonty and Timothy.

Jonty Gye
Jonty was born on November 29th, 1946. He died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia at the age of 55 in 2001.
