Raimon was born on February 3rd, 1751 in Sant Celoni (Vallès Oriental). Barcelona. Catalunya..  Raimon's father was Tomàs Gasol Borras and his mother was Esperança Porta Valls.  His paternal grandparents were Valerià Gasol Calvís and Mª Anna Borras; his maternal grandparents were Pere Porta Gasol and teresa Valls. He had a brother and a sister, named Antoni and Cecília.  He died at the age of 58 on October 18th, 1809.
