Ramon M. was born in El Tarròs, Tornabous (Urgell). Lleida. Catalunya..  Ramon M.'s father was Josep Companys Granyó and his mother was M. Lluïsa Jover Fontanet.  His maternal grandparents were Sr. Jover Yyyy and Sra. Fontanet Yyyy. He had four brothers and four sisters, and also three siblings of unknown gender, named Josep, Lluís, Manuel, Camil, Maria, Neus, Alba, Ramona, Albat 1, Albat 2 and Albat 3.  He died in April 1934 in Barcelona (Barcelonès).
