“Russell Hebenthal married Mabel Elizabeth Monroe who was a descendant of Sebasrian Y Cortes on my nephew's family tree . He had 3 children that I know of: Van Hebenthal, Marilyn Ann Hebenthal, and William Hebenthal. I have no birth, death or marriage dates for either. The Ancestry.com web site shows him living in Pensacola, FL @ 4200 W Fairfield Drive through 2002. It also shows a military burial record for Russell E Hebenthal born 3 Jun 1921 and died 18 May 2003 , buried at Pensacola Memorial Gardens, 7433 Pine Forest Road in Pensacola, FL. Russell E Hebenthal was a corporal in the U S Army Air Forces in World War II.(At the time, it was known as the Army Air Corps which later spun off from the Army and became the U S Air Force. I know this because my Dad was also in the Army Air Corps during the war and was stationed in Florida but not at Pensacola.) Perhaps Mr. Hebenthal was stationed in Pensacola during the war and decided to make it his home but I do not KNOW this.
Beyond this I have no further information on Russell Hebenthal and the records of him on Ancestry.com show no contact information for the person who entered the data.I do not have any photos of the Cortes family other than my nephew. Sorry I can't be of more help than this.

Subject: Family tree --Russell Hebenthal
Hello Adam,
I saw your family tree site. I think your ancestor Russel Hebenthal my be the brother of my Grandmother Ramona Queer.
I have a few Questions. Why did Russell move to florida?
Russel was in the air force in WWII. What unit? What battles did he fight in?
Please any other information you have could be very helpful
I just started a new genealogy project in the hopes of finding some pictures of my ancestors for a scrapbook i'm working on. Take a look at what I have so far

Also if you have any photos I would like to make copies of them at your convenience.
Thankyou Heather Lloyd
