Joseph was born about 1811 in Huntingdon, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, USA.1   Joseph's father was Lowry Wilgus and his mother was Hannah ? (Wilgus).  He was an only child.  He died on June 13th, 1862 in Fort Monroe, Virginia, USA.1 

Joseph's first family

Joseph and Elizabeth were married in a religious & civil ceremony on July 31st, 1849 in Salt Lick Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, USA.1   They had a son and two daughters, named George, Elizabeth and Henrietta.  The family line is yet to be completed.


Joseph's second family

Joseph and Martha were married in a religious & civil ceremony on October 2nd, 1861 in Connellsville, Fayette, Pennsylvania, USA. They had a son named Joseph.
