      George Ridenour may have died from the wordwide influenza epidemic in 1781-1782 which was said to be the worst one. Oddly enough, Adam Ridenour and his son Samuel died in 1858 which was during another worldwide influenza epidemic from 1857 to 1859.

  Johann was born on August 17th, 1780 and his baptism took place on October 15th, 1780 in Evangelical Lutheran Church (German Reformed) of Frederick County, Maryland, USA.²   His godfather was Johannes Jung.²

    • Johannes Reitenauer b. 8/6/[1782?] baptized August 25th. The year is not given, but he is listed among the 1782 baptisms. Son of Johann George and Elizabeth Reitenauer. Apples United Church, Frederick County, Maryland ( Emmittsburg, Maryland is within 4 to 5 miles of both the Old Monocacy church and Apples church. Graceham Moravian Church is 2 miles east of Thurmont, which is about a mile from Apples Lutheran Church ) If this is another brother of Adam Ridenour, we do not know if he settled in Pa or remained in Maryland or died young.
