Merritt, known as Buckeye, was born on October 21st, 1927 in Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, USA.1   Buckeye's father was Ray H McCloy and his mother was Adalade M McFadden (McCloy).  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 59 in September 1987 in Scottdale, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, USA.  He was buried at the GreenLick Cemetery, Bullskin township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, USA.1 

Buckeye's family

Buckeye and Norma were married in a religious & civil ceremony on February 17th, 1950 in Winchester, Virginia, USA.1   They had two sons and three daughters, named Douglas, Ray, Debra, Roxanne and Amy.
