June and
Dick were married in a religious & civil ceremony on December 21st, 1946.
1 They had two sons and two daughters, named

Georgie Lee,
Jo-Anne and
Susie.

They met at Harry Adami's 21st birthday party. June was with Richard's cousin Warren Doyle, but bold Richard saw her and knew she was the one! He took her home that night from the party and dated her from then on. He went to war but did not want to marry June until he returned. He was in World War II Army Division for 30 months and she was home in Philadelphia working for the children's Aid Society and prying and hoping for his safe return. He did return in may of 1946. He was discharged a few months later and they decided to get married. He was going to scool at Temple University so they picked a date of December 21 1946 because he was on school break. They bought a house in Upper darby but couldn't move in for six months so they ived with Aunt Bertha (she was Lilly's { Bestwick-Elliot} relative). He also Worked with Conrad Adami in a candy store that Richard's father and uncle Conrad had started together. (Conrad was George W. Elliott's boss at Freihoffer's also). When Richard's father died (during the war working on a ship's electrical problems) Richard jr. became Conrad's partner. June got pregnant with Jo-ann Barbara Adams and quit her job. Richard continued to work with uncle conrad and eventualy went into the dry cleaning business together. June & Richard had three more children, Susan Lillie Adams (george Gibbs), Richard Elliott Adams, (Carol) and George Lee Adams. Eventually with two girls, they moved to Feasterville, PA and Ricky was born that year. Then came Georgie in 1959. It turns out they are pretty good parents, grandparents and now greatgrandparents. The grand children are; Jay (Cindy), Jeff, Andy (Amy), Tim (Kristen), Matt, Susan-Jane, Amanda, Bryan, Georgie, Zach, Jessie, Jeremy & Little Ricky. Collette & Chris Neuber are their adoptive grandchildren and then the greatgrandchildren are; Ryan John Gibbs, Ashley-Ann Dehennis and Ariel Nicole Gibbs.
After 60 years they have been married and for longer than that they have known each other. We wish them continued love and happines! ......
