May was born on January 1st, 1922.  May's father was James Murdock and her mother was Ethel. She had three brothers and a sister, named James, Joe, Charles and Barbara.  She died at the age of 74 on December 24th, 1996.  Her burial was in Forkhill Church of Ireland Graveyard.
