Jean was born on July 29th, 1810 in Kilbirnie.  Jean's father was John Montgomery and her mother was Mary Barclay.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert Montgomery and Mary Crawfurd.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 79 on August 16th, 1889.
