Catherine was born in 1812 in Dunrossness.  Catherine's father was Robert Sinclair and her mother was Catherine Goudie.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry Sinclair and Martha Halcrow.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 79 on June 6th, 1891 in Brake of Bigton, Dunrossness.
