Royappan's father is Anthonisamy and his mother is Madalaiammal.  His paternal grandparents are David and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents are Arockiam Malaysia and Adaikalam. He has two brothers and four sisters, named Chinnappan, Amalraj, Lourdu, Mary, Brigit mary and Gladdy.
