Norman was born in 1881.  Norman's father was George E Wright and his mother was Rachel  Sophia Nash Sex.  His paternal grandparents were John Wright and Jane Nash Sex; his maternal grandparents were John J Nash Sex and Rachel. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Ernest, Jack, Sydney, Allen, Isobelle, Eleanore, Daisy  and Margaret.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He had a half-sister named Saxoy.
